SKE is attempting to bring the Euro car enthusiast community together once again to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank. Much like our last X-Mas G2G, this will be a canned/non-perishable food drive, but with a twist. How about delivering the goods via caravan up and over the twisty road of HWY 152!

To make this event an absolute blast for everyone, we'll need some dedicated and enthusiastic folks willing to help. Listed below are just a couple things we're looking for. This list will be updated, so keep an eye on it. If you're down to get involved, email grubhaul@gmail.com.

Needed to make Grub Haul! 2010, an absolute bitchin' experience:

• We thought it was a great idea to have a speed shop (or two!) have a booth setup here at Grub Haul! 2010. They can bring cool products to demo, throw a banner up, hand out flyers/coupons, sell products/t-shirts, and are even encouraged to bring a bada$$ car or two to show off!

• Sticker/decal/flyer sponsorships needed! Do you specialize in vinyl decals, color flyer printing? If so, and you're willing to donate some of your time and materials, contact us immediately! We're working on finalizing our Grub Haul! 2010 flyer so that we can get it printed.

• A DJ and DJ setup. I know there are a few DJ's on the forums, but we really need a line on someone who is willing to bring out their equipment for this charity event. Type of music should be chill, rock, top 40 type stuff. But, just because you bring the equipment doesn't mean you have to be stuck behind the podium! Once we get a line on actual equipment, we'd love it for some others to step up and "guest DJ", for lack of better terms.

The above list is just a start and is tentative. Keep checking the thread for updates. We thank in advance anyone showing interest in helping make this event happen.

Little update on Grub Haul:
-We've got about 20 cars registered so far. If you project that out over the next month and change, we're inline to hit the 70-100 car mark. Interest usually spikes in the last two weeks or so and that's when registrations will really start to pour in. If you haven't registered yourself already, make sure to do so ASAP! Don't forget to post in the official grub haul thread either. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...Sofa-King-Euro
-We need volunteers to work shifts at the concessions stand.
-The Strawberry festival is that same day in Watsonville, so the town is really going to be buzzin'.

- BIG ANNOUNCEMENT - PLEASE READ -

Cruise Route: Here's a link to the customized route on Google Maps. PLEASE PRINT THIS AND BRING IT WITH YOU. This is a planned scenic route, so please do not split up from the group because your GPS tells you otherwise. Follow the group, and if you get lost at a stoplight, follow your printed directions.
http://maps.google.com/maps...

Cruise Etiquette: Please no reckless driving, burnouts, blocking traffic, or passing on two lane roads. In other words, don't get us shut down! While staging at Safeway, keep it low key and respectful (no loud music or reving). BRING A COPY OF THE CRUISE ROUTE AND AN FRS RADIO.

Lunch: Someone was gracious enough to donate the usage of a large tow-in BBQ for the event. So feel free to bring some food to throw on the grille. This is a "bring your own" style BBQ lunch.

Tours: The Food Bank staff will be offering tours of their recently renovated facility for a $1 donation (which allows them to purchase 3lbs of food at highly discounted prices). It's a really cool facility, and I highly encourage everyone to check it out.

VIP Parking Passes: Will be handed out to the hottest of the hot cars at Safeway before the cruise starts, so make sure those baby's shine!

Don't Forget: Donations for the food bank (cash or non perishable food), lunch, your FRS radio (Chan 13.3), a copy of the cruise route, and cash for the tour and any vendors that may be on site.
