Slammed both (120mm) a MK5 and MK4 golf on the same brand suspension and height and the mk5 is extremely comfortable! Where the mk4 is your usual boncey car, sensitive to bumps, etc?.... I was expecting the mk5 to loose its ride quality going that low....
Is that because the mk5 is heavier? or is it to do with the rear suspension being setup differently in the mk4 compared to mk5? |

It probably has quite a bit to do with the rear suspension differences between the cars. The Mk5 uses an independent rear while the Mk4 uses a beam.
