Just a proposed race.

My buddy has a '83 Ford Escort no mods. But it is burgundy and primer. Also has the louvre on the rear hatch which has to help with aero. Any opinions?

well i dont know about those year escorts, but back in the day i had a '95 4 door and swapped in a mazda 1.8bp turbo motor, had about 250hp at 16psi though, I don't know of any swaps for the older models but you never know, K20A FTW, LOL!

Haha, beware of the sleepers!!

There's a couple local buddies by me who have something along the same lines. One of them is a pretty good friend. He has a '95 escort with some Mazda GT turbo motor swapped into the thing. And man when i tell you it's a sleeper, you'd be shocked to shit to see this thing run a 15 second time, let alone a 12 second one. The thing would hang with modded Zo6 Vette's past 150! Insane sleeper.

Yea, I'd watch it. The stock Escorts aren't super fast...but with the louvers, you might get embarrassed. Those things can get silly.

I have a 98' escort sport w/ 130k on an odom that stopped turning long ago.. lol. picked it up for $800..Thing hauls!!

It has been seriously detailed / new rubber since these pics were taken.
