MKV APR Stage 1 vs. MKIV APR Stage 2+

Ok, so this is my first kill post here. I have had my GTI MKV DSG for almost 2 months now. I went APR stage 1 about one thousand miles ago, and I love both the car and the reflash!!! Well today I was driving after picking up some food, and noticed a really nice looking black MKIV in my tail lights. I stopped at a red light behind some cars and he pulls up next to me saying "nice car", and then I ask what he has done, and he tells me he is APR stage 2+ with what I think he said was a "max psi" turbo-back exhaust, and a few other goodies. I ask him if he has ever raced a stage 1 MKV and he says no, follow me. So I follow him onto the highway and we make 2 runs. The first is from 50ish with three honks, and honestly I think i jumped on it just a tiny bit early, and ended up putting about 2 cars on him to around 100-110. The second run was from around 40 and this time I didnt get an early start. He took an early lead by a fender, but by the time we shut down around 100-110 I was again ahead by about a car to a car and a half ahead and gaining steam. The guy was super cool afterwards and we pulled off and talked in a KFC parking lot for about 20 minutes. He was a little bit surprised that I beat him, but he says 2nd gear is his best gear and he thinks he could take me from a 20 mph roll. He says he has ran a 13.9 at the local drag strip, and dyno'd around 240 hp, and I forget the torque number. We exchanged numbers, and I guess he has some local vw/audi friends and we are gonna meet at the local drag strip some night soon. I was just proud to finally get my first official kill( i have only raced a buddies 05 Civic SI, but that was too easy). When he told me he was stage 2+ I was a little worried. But I ended up being pleasantly surprised with the kill, and I met a very cool guy at the same time.

maybe 240 crank...no way he dynoed 240whp in a 1.8T w/ just a reflash and a few boltons...while its not too hard to hit 240-250whp in a stock turbo 1.8T, it does take some money...
TIP/AMIC/w-m/CB/DP/tune w- tweeks/CWG/4bar might do it but most likely 380's/25-30psi
thats about what you would need to see 240+whp in a stock turbo 1.8T...

It's always cool to race respectable people and people who aren't sore losers

is the 13.9 hard to believe also???? Because we are going to meet at the track soon and it seems like he wouldnt lie to me about that since I will see what he can do soon. Also i am positive he had a DP/CB, and I he told me of other things he had but I forget them now....my adrenaline was pumping. He said his next thing he was doing is water/meth injection soon.

Oh, also forgot to mention, the 13.9 is with slicks on. Says he spins way to much with his all seasons on at the track.

Yeah my buddy who had 1st mk4 chassis 1.8T to run in the 10's use to put down about 215whp and 275 ft. lbs to the wheels back when he was just full bolted on stock turbo. Seems (to me at least) that's about where they tend to top off with the stock turbo and no meth or nitrous, yes/no War?

And for the threads sake, my buddies GTI when it was only basic APR stage 2 running against a MK4 with GIAC software and bolt-ons.

on average yes...but it really depends...I made 223whp on the stock turbo, but im running a pretty aggesive tune w/ an open 3" dump, and a AEB head w/ ported IM...i was thinking about taking the meth off of the MKII G60 and putting it back on the 1.8T and trying to see 260ish whp...but i just really dont care...
